MEASURING
Complete
the details on our 'HOME SURVEY SHEET - FASCIA & GUTTER' and let
us calculate your requirements for free; or work out your own requirements
following this step by step guide:-
1
- Measure the length of each gutter run and work out how many lengths
you need- 4m(13') or 2m(6') lengths(2m only for miniline).
2
- Count the number of gutter unions you need - 1 for every time you
added a piece of gutter in (1).
3
- Work out the number of fascia brackets you need :1 every metre maximum
plus an extra 1 for each gutter run(Miniline requires one for every
600mm).
4
- Count the number of outlets.
5
- Count the number of stopends you need - allow for an internal stopend
to fit inside an outlet if the outlet is at the very end of the gutter
you will need to work out which are left hand and which are right hand
if you plan to use Ogee gutter.
6
- Count any gutter angles and note the angles : Standard angles are
90 degrees and 135 degrees but other angles can be supplied if Ogee
gutter mark internal or external angles.
7
- Count any joints to different gutters : we can supply adaptors from
our gutters to other designs of gutter e.g. half round to Ogee.
8
- Measure the length of each rainwater pipe : Calculate how many 2.75m(9')
and how many 4m(13') pipes you will need.Tip - 2 x 2.75m will fit a
standard 2 storey drop.
9
- If the pipes are to be joined i.e. where 2 pipes are used on one drop,
allow for a pipe socket.
10
- If the pipes 'kick-back' to the wall after leaving the outlet, allow
2 offset bends per pipe.
11
- Allow 2 pipe clips per pipe plus one per joint.
12
- Count how many shoes you will need.
13
- Count how many adaptors you will need to fit square pipe into a round
drain hole.
14
- Consider if you require any other rainwater pipe bends, pipe branches
or hoppers.
